🚨Gaza is entering winter with almost no structures left to withstand storms, as over 90% of civilian infrastructure has been destroyed and most remaining displacement tents are no longer usable. More than 22,000 tents have been damaged or swept away by flooding this season alone, sewage has mixed with stormwater due to collapsed sanitation networks, and over 740,000 people in displacement sites have been directly affected. With water services operating at under 5% and no functioning housing stock, UN agencies warn that at least 300,000 new tents are urgently required to prevent mass illness and further casualties.
