On the sidelines of the United Nations Chiefs of Police Summit (#UNCOPS) in New York, the Inspector General of Police, CG Felix Namuhoranye and Permanent Representative, Ambassador @martin_ngoga, met with the @UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, Mr. Jean Pierre Lacroix.

Their discussions focused on #Rwanda’s existing partnership with the @UN Department of Peace Operations.

And the fact that they traveled farther from Earth than anyone ever has, re-entered our atmosphere at more than 24,000 mph, and splashed down safely was a testament to human ingenuity. This weekend in Los Angeles, President Kagame attended the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, hosted at the Intuit Dome.

On the sidelines of the game, President Kagame met with leaders from the sports and business community, including Steve Ballmer, owner of the Los Angeles Clippers. Their discussions reflected the growing ties between Rwanda and the NBA, including the partnership launched last year between the Clippers and Visit Rwanda.
