Todah Rabbah HaShem!
Todah Abba Shel Shamayim!
We have more good news to share regarding the Tzaddik Rav Chizkiyahu Dov Kook of Teveria.
Rav Kook spoke several words for the first time since being hospitalized approximately six weeks ago with severe pneumonia.
According to those close to Rav Kook, he has made notable progress in recent days. In addition to speaking a few words, he has been successfully weaned off mechanical ventilation, his eyesight has improved, and he is now able to communicate his wishes.
Because speaking remains physically taxing, family members and caregivers are limiting conversation with him to avoid exhausting him. Nevertheless, his ability to speak, even briefly, has been described as a deeply moving and significant milestone in his recovery.
Family members related that Rav Kook was asked to respond to several suggestions presented to him, indicating disapproval of some of them. Ultimately, he expressed a desire to have Mishnayot from Seder Taharot read aloud to him, preferring that over other suggestions that had been offered.
During the visit, Rav Kook's father-in-law, Rav Yitzchak Zilberstein, also came to see him. Upon entering the room, Rav Zilberstein recited a Shehecheyanu over a new fruit, thereby exempting the bracha customarily recited upon seeing the Rav after an extended absence. Family members observed that Rav Kook repeatedly lifted his head toward his father-in-law during the visit and appeared visibly comforted and uplifted by the encounter.
One of Rav Kook's confidents said, “This is a tremendous source of encouragement and strength for the public. We can clearly see that the tefillot are having an effect, and we must not stop praying for even a moment.”
We must continue davening for the complete recovery of Rav Chizkiyahu Dov HaKohen ben Shoshanah.
The Bad Will Turn into Good | Rabbi Shalom Arush
Either you believe and have emuna - or you don't!
Rabbi Arush explains in this video a fundamental concept in emuna - even if it seems bad, and it is bad, it's really hidden kindness from Hashem.
When you hold onto emuna and believe that since it's from Hashem, it simply must be good - then the bad flips, and it becomes good in a way that even you can see and understand!
A MUST WATCH!
Run After Peace 🕊️🤝🤍 - Rabbi Shalom Arush
We have to be students of Aaron HaCohen, the High Priest
We have to love peace. Loving something means you're willing to give up everything for it.
But we also have to pursue it. We have to run after it! We have to work to get it
Todah Rabbah HaShem!!!
Todah Abba Shel Shamayim!!!
We finally have great news to post regarding the Tzaddik Rav Chizkiyahu Dov Kook of Teveria/Tiberias.
They just removed Rav Kook from his ventilator after sedation was stopped about two weeks ago. Rav Kook was then transferred from Poriya Hospital to a rehabilitation facility for continued treatment and supervision.
One of Rav Kook's close confidants related that, “This is very, very significant progress,” he said.
However, he emphasized that the road is still long. The Rabbi is still unable to eat on his own, and his body remains very weak.
When asked if there are any signs of communication from Rav Kook, he relied “when I say to Rabbi Kook things that gedolei Yisrael have said about him, or tell him that Am Yisrael has been praying for him at Kever Rachel or at the Kotel, I see him blinking his eyes, opening his eyes, and trying to speak.”
The close confidant called on us to not suffice with merely mentioning the rabbi’s name, but to truly pray. In the past, “Rabbi Kook has said several times: ‘They mention me, but they don’t pray for me." “Now, Baruch HaShem, we see that Am Yisrael is praying for Rabbi Kook. Prayer must come from the depths of the heart (me’umka de-liba).”
He also called on the public to strengthen themselves with several commitments for Rav Kook's recovery, including keeping Shabbat longer until Rabbeinu Tam. [check https://t.co/ydJ9H91cBc for the time in your location]
The close confidant added that Rabbi Kook used to speak a great deal about the virtue of laying tefillin while learning Torah. About a year ago, the rabbi issued a letter stating that whoever puts on tefillin while learning extends his life.
He concluded by saying, “Now we all pray to HaShem that this rehabilitation will be very short and with a kefitzat haderech (miraculous shortcut)"
Please keep up your prayers for Rabbi Chizkiyahu Dov HaKohen ben Shoshana.
