. @Lukowoyesigyire "The Kampala Metropolitan Police wishes to inform the public about an ongoing investigation following a disturbing incident captured on CCTV. The footage, which has been circulating on social media, shows a man identified as Mugisha Tomson, 40 years old and a resident of Kyebando, being assaulted by unidentified assailants. The attack occurred around Ben Kiwakuka Street at approximately 8 PM yesterday, May 22nd, 2024.

We have since established that during the incident, the victim was robbed of 450,000 UGX, a bag containing important documents, keys, and a container. The Central Police Station in Kampala has promptly opened inquiries into this attack.

So far, two suspects have been identified and are currently assisting with the ongoing investigations. We are actively working to trace and apprehend all individuals involved and ensure they are brought to justice.

We urge members of the public to be vigilant and mindful of their surroundings. If you witness any suspicious activities, please do not hesitate to make an alarm or notify the police immediately. Public cooperation is essential in preventing such incidents and ensuring community safety.

We will continue to update the public with more details as our investigation progresses.
