@Joe__Bassey It's crazy how people keep on complaining about Nigeria but don't understand what Nigeria is. On paper Nigeria is a country but in reality its a business organization owned by Great Britain and managed by the USA. If you wanna change this go bck to 1884. Thank you!
Tinubu is in France
Shettima is in New York
Akpabio is in Italy
As it stands Nigeria does not have a leader.
Vote for Seyi Makinde he won’t leave Nigeria without a leader.
Anytime Seyi Makinde is traveling (he hands over power to his Deputy)
If I could go back to when I was maybe 25 or 30... This is the advice I'd give myself because I see the leaks in my world today and hope someone learns from it.
1. STAY.
Stay when nobody is clapping.
Stay when the idea stops being sexy.
Stay during boring operational years.
Stay long enough to develop managers.
Stay long enough to build systems.
Stay long enough for compound effects to appear.
And when something truly is dead:
end it completely.
Don’t keep dead projects on emotional life support.
2. Don't be like me... I divided my money, attention, emotional energy, time, and leadership across too many futures... and none of them received enough concentrated force for long enough.
Five promising things can leave you poorer than one or two boring things that compound for ten years.
You might be a man with great ideas and crazy ambitions but:
Let ONE become the main mission. It gets the overwhelming majority of your serious building energy.
ONE may remain secondary only if it is cheap to maintain and doesn’t compete with the first.
Everything else gets one of four words: PAUSE, DELEGATE, SELL, or END.
Choosing one does not mean the others were stupid... It means you finally understand opportunity cost.
Many of you who are just like me do not need another beginning... You need a completion.
Those who know me too well or have worked with me will tell you one truth: “If a project stresses SPIRIT, that project is RIP... It doesn't take him time to raze down the structure and vanish.”
Again, NEVER be like me... You need the stress or you might never amount to anything.
And another important thing, have people in your life who understand you deeply and help you understand that life is not about Jump & Jump but instead it is more about Build, Energy & Patience.
I have the best minds working with me, Yomi, Kale, etc... These people are demonically brilliant... But I can tell you today that I wish they were more brutal with me and took advantage of the grip they have on me rather than focusing on protecting the relationship between us.
I love and appreciate them regardless.
In the last few months, my STRATEGIC PROJECT MANAGEMENT supervisor Sir Jace Subramoney changed my life in ways he might never know.
In him, I saw someone who believed in me and was ready to k!ll me if I ever doubt myself.
Both him and his course made me realize how many years, time, and energy I have wasted.
Build a process another human can execute without calling you... Create something that survives a month without your personal energy.
That is the transition from visionary to builder.
Again, don't be like me, don't be tired of visibility... Put yourself out there and keep yourself out there no matter how much you think you have made.
I know better and I am better.
Have a lovely week.
What happens when you ask ChatGPT to find every photo of you on the internet?
I tried it. It found me in photos I didn't know existed.
Here are the 3 prompts:
This is another thing we’re yet to talk about..
Might sound somehow, but it feels like the worst thing to be to a Woman is a Boyfriend/Husband
The side dudes, FWBs, sneaky-links, male friends and the rest usually gets majorly the BEST VERSIONS of a Woman.
While the committed guy gets the tantrums, attitude, almagiric behavior, weaponized incompetence alongside EVERYTHING the sneaky-links and besties can enjoy too
Why do you think their FWBs/ Male Besties almost never want to have them in a committed relationship ?
I would definitely advise this person to consider staying back in Nigeria and focusing on his fish farming business, which is reportedly worth over ₦13 million.
The offer from Bulgaria may look very attractive, and we cannot deny that many European countries have better infrastructure, security, healthcare, and social amenities that can make certain aspects of life easier.
However, relocation is not just about what you see on the surface.
People often overlook the high cost of living, taxes, utility bills, accommodation costs, and, for some people, the loneliness and social isolation that can come with living far away from family and familiar communities.
The cost of living and billing system in many parts of Europe can be significantly different from what people are accustomed to in Nigeria. This is why you should never assume that earning more money automatically means having a better quality of life.
For many Nigerians, the major motivation for relocating to Europe is the hope for better economic opportunities, while others are primarily motivated by security concerns. But if you already have a business in Nigeria that is doing well and has genuine potential for significant growth, relocation may not necessarily be your best option.
Sometimes, the wiser decision is to build what you already have.
Instead of abandoning a ₦13 million fish. farming business for an uncertain future abroad, you could consider expanding the business, improving its structure, increasing production, building a strong team, and turning it into a much larger enterprise.
And if you genuinely want to experience Europe, you can always travel there for holidays, business opportunities, or short visits without necessarily relocating permanently.
The important thing is to stop assuming that everyone living in the UK or Europe is automatically living a perfect life.
Some people are doing extremely well financially, while others are struggling with high living costs, isolation, relationship problems, work pressure, and other challenges that may not be visible on social media.
Relocation is not automatically the definition of success. Sometimes, the greener pasture is the one you already have if you are willing to cultivate it properly.
Cancer is a big problem in our society and it almost seems like anyone can get it no matter how careful you are, but you can also do some things to protect yourself and loved ones.
Cut down:
• Charred suya, the black bits, processed meat, sausages and hot dogs used in shawarma etc
• Mouldy groundnut, maize, egusi
• Reused frying oil
• Sniper-preserved beans, formalin fish
• Alcohol (shayo sweet but think about the long term complications) and smoking
• Firewood & generator smoke indoors
• Skin lightening creams
Also do this:
• Test for Hepatitis B and vaccinate if negative, biggest cause of liver cancer in our society. Test for Hep C too (no vaccine, but it’s curable now with treatment)
• HPV vaccine + screening for the women you love, the biggest cause of cervical cancer in our society, and a rising cause of throat cancer
• Grill beside the coals, not over them
Protect yourself. Protect your family.
