Free agent guard Ayo Dosunmu intends to sign a five-year, $112 million contract to return to the Minnesota Timberwolves, with a player option in the fifth season, sources tell ESPN. Timberwolves made it a major priority to lock in Dosunmu after his tremendous postseason.
i said this about brunson a couple months ago and tbf i still think its valid to a degree. kat/og/mikal needed to be excellent on both ends throughout the playoffs and they definitely were able to offset his bad games (1/2)
I’d still go with KAT for FMVP as of right now.
It’s hard to quantify value beyond the box score, but his floor spacing at the five is what allows literally everything else for New York’s offense to work.
All of those late-game Brunson isolation buckets, OG corner 3s, etc. simply don’t exist if KAT’s not on the court, forcing the Spurs to get weird with matchups.
They haven’t been able to score at all when KAT’s not out there, and look like an elite offense when he is. Not to mention that he’s been, at worst, their 2nd best defensive player.
There’s little doubt in my mind that he’s been the most valuable player for the Knicks in this series, regardless of what the numbers might say.
@KeyserSoze0099@saltysteve0621 the Knicks erased the Spurs 15 point lead n got back in the game almost immediately with Brunson off the floor , Alvarado at point and KAT on the floor. did everything feed off him while hd was sitting on the bench?
😭😭😭😭😭 aside from the fact this is a laughable take, the reason mitchell/jaylen brown aren’t more coveted despite being fringe 30 ppg scorers is cause theres probably belief neither of them can scale down without further amplifying their flaws
@Wonovan1@grizzgoatsports because i dont want my team to pay donovan mitchell $75 million dollars per year when hes in his mid thirties and hes a much tougher player to build around than mobley
What happens with the Cavs roster this summer:
Harden - Resigned on pay cut
Mitchell - Extended
Wade - Keep
Mobley - Keep/Trade for Giannis
Allen - Keep/Flip for Bron
Strus - Trade
Merrill - Keep
Schroder - Gone
Tyson - Keep and Start
Ellis - Keep Vet min
This is considered a Donovan problem, and to me it's absolutely a consdquence of having to play Harden ball because he can not and will not play any other way.
Donovan I think is a terrific playmaker, and he shifted into more off-ball tip of the spear because they went to Harden ISO hunting.
Harden has to become more of an off-ball guy. Mitchell is the engine, and injured or not, removing him from that limits his impact
