Iran 🇮🇷 has formally sent a multipage response to the latest United States 🇺🇸 proposal to end the war, laying out its own demands in detail and leaving gaps between the two sides

Here's what Iran is actually proposing:

Iran wants a ceasefire first, a gradual reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and nuclear talks pushed to a separate 30-day negotiation window.

On the uranium stockpile: Iran is willing to dilute some of its highly enriched uranium and transfer the rest to a third country. But only with a guarantee it gets returned if the deal falls apart.

On enrichment: Iran will suspend it. But not for the 20-year moratorium the U.S. proposed.

On dismantling nuclear facilities: flat rejection.

The response was delivered through mediator Pakistan and forwarded to Washington.
