In 1985, bank officers and IAS officers enjoyed similar salaries and societal respect, both esteemed with salaries ranging between 2000-3000 rupees.

That same year saw the founding of AIBOC, purportedly advocating for the welfare of bank officers.

Fast forward to 2024, bank officers now receive salaries comparable to Class 3 or 4 central government employees and face disrespect, treated merely as disposable items.

Who's to blame?
