@vpl35 Yeah, the obvious solution is to spend some of their billions to make officiating a full time job instead of having part time amateurs. And people aren't asking for perfection. They are asking for basic competence.
No other way to put it, TCU got robbed tonight.
The fact that you don’t call this foul at the end regulation after every foul call all game is insane.
The NCAA has to do something about this ref situation, but hey, they don’t do much about anything.
@StanNEphery@YIDNA30 I was more referring to all the times a defensive player has been brushed and thrown himself backwards to get a charge called vs this specific play. It's been happening all tournament and is the incorrect call.
@ocho_JINco@johnnydmemphis@NCAA@Memphis_MBB Timme reminds me of Christian Laettner at Duke...guy walked every time he touched the ball and didn't get called. Timme is the same.
Back in the 1980s I never thought I'd one day be pining for the consistency and accuracy of Ed Hightower as an ncaa ref, but here I am. Thanks for the nostalgia @ncaa@MarchMadnessMBB
@RiddlePuzzle@NCAA I tweeted yesterday I'd bet $100 that no announcer would call out the refs in the 2nd round because the order would have gone out to not criticize them.
On the Wisconsin and Colgate game now. Another game, another round of announcers calling out ncaa refs for awful calls. It's literally every game @MarchMadnessMBB.
$100 says announcers calling @MarchMadnessMBB games no longer call out refs for awful calls by tomorrow. Not because the officiating will have improved, but be the order will have come to stop pointing it out. I'm even rooting for ND but man is Bama getting hosed.
I've watched significant chunks of nearly every game so far. Is it a good thing that in every game the announcers are calling out the refs for multiple blown calls? Announcers usually bend over backwards to give refs the benefit of the doubt. Fix it @MarchMadnessMBB
