I’m extremely proud of the work that we’ve done with them this year. They have grown so much since we started. And I look forward to continuing to help shape their development over the next few years through mentorship, academic excellence, & community uplift! Building boys 2 men
This week, we celebrated the accomplishments of our brothers at Green Street Academy & The SEED school for our end of year ceremony’s . It took a great deal of hard work to build out these programs this year. We experienced adversity, but our brothers rose to the occasion

@streethistory@mikefreemanNFL I know these things. I’ve been there. But I disagree that any agent or PR team changes that. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I know too much to buy that narrative. He’s the perfect example of self determination in practice.
@streethistory@mikefreemanNFL I find it so interesting that fans and media feel the need to tell athletes what they should be doing like that’s what he wants. If HE wanted to that he would. And having an agent or manager wouldn’t stop journalists with no integrity from writing what they write.
@mikefreemanNFL@streethistory Depends on who they work for. Different people hire them for different purposes but in my experience they have offered 2 set up interviews with different outlets & leverage their relationships 2 bring certain sponsorship/branding opportunities. Most aren’t worth what they charge
@streethistory@mikefreemanNFL I know his manager and what they do. A manager isn’t an agent. I had an agent myself when I played in the league but his ONLY job was to negotiate my contract. And had I been more forward thinking I would have done the exact same thing as Lamar.
@B1ackSchefter I’ve experienced this… twice… please pray for this man. There’s no pain like what he and his partner are going through. Football is a game. But they will wear these emotional scars forever.
What’s really sad is that even as former players that know that this is a future possibility for ALL of us, that instead of facing it, we feel the need to deflect with jokes. It really sounded like Taylor was looking for some sense of compassion here.
