It’s pretty awesome to see an NFL starting linebacker like Alex Singleton share that he had a testicular cancer tumor removed this week. A player of his caliber could have easily kept this information private, but he said “if doing so helps even one person decide to pay closer attention to their body, then it is worth it. Early detection saves lives and spares loved ones.”

I lost my older brother Cameron in 2009 to testicular cancer. Although he was able to detect testicular cancer and have a tumor removed like Alex Singleton, he later succumbed to cancer having spread through his body.

In his memory, I shave the beard I normally wear and starting from cleanly shaven, I grow only my mustache for the month of November. I do this in conjunction with an annual fundraiser through the nonprofit organization called Movember. Please consider donating to help prevent men like my brother Cameron from dying too young from things like testicular cancer, prostate cancer and men’s health.

@Ryan_Holdaway The people working the Pasco, WA airport for Allegiant were 3rd party at one point and they took me off a confirmed flight, put me on an airplane that had been delayed a full day for repairs and put me back on standby on my original flight. Almost didn’t make it home that day.
