Have really tried to improve my survivor optimizer tool. Have added a ton of new features which includes backup options which can effect season path. Also a feature that allows a path without week 18 since there's such a lack of motivation potential if you want to see. and also look at the downside of going for it and failing. JAX had all three TOs and the 2m warning to get a stop and get back into FG range with HOU starting at midfield. I tweeted it in real time that a FG was far and away the worst option. Btw I understand your point but most (maybe all) team models adjust for their specific teams so quality of kickers, etc are factored into their models vs public models

No that's what Im saying. AFTER the FG was made HOU was -1.5 live on sportsbooks (didnt catch what prediction markets had it). HOU had 1:55 left and multiple TOs remaining + a really good FG kicker themselves. And even without winning in regulation Jax still would have had to win in OT. The FG option itself was the issue not odds of making it necessarily

I have zero idea if he is any good but this is certainly a positive trend line for McCarthy. He actually ranks #1 in the NFL in both EPA and success rate since week 14 last season. Crazy
It should absolutely be noted that he has not faced a single top 20 pass D since week 14 and the positive trend line as well.

@wenbickert its essentially an expiring contract so it may actually help some teams get rid of an expensive longer term contract potentially
