@J0hnADouglas@DChadwickAuthor They turned to litrpg(one series so far) after it printed insane cash in indie for about a decade. Basically the entire genre is still indie. It feels like you are writing this like the publishers choose to uplift this genre for evil purposes instead of another male genre.
@DChadwickAuthor The big publishers have been consistently putting out far worse slop than DCC for years now, many doing frankly embarassing sales numbers as they totally ignored xianxia/progression/litrpg whatever. IDK why DCC of all of them popped off but it was bound to be one of them.
@DChadwickAuthor I think it is poor form to dismiss an entire genre. Like litrpg is the wave right now and it will die like all others as people hop on the next novelty, but it just feels like you are doing the same thing that was probably done to you by others.
@darkprometheus1@FenixAmmunition@shortmagsmle It can be done just with a just do more when it's across so many things is tricky because of the number of stresses up and down the product chain.
@darkprometheus1@FenixAmmunition@shortmagsmle Many of the environment and stress tests, can take days to complete, or even if it's only 20hours or so then you only gain ~40% or so from weekend shift and another 15% at best going to full 24/7.
@MorlockP I shouldnt say nobody but generally when someone is releasing stuff faster than that...its dire. I can also believe someone writing it in a month total just fine...but not sustaining that pace.
@MorlockP I read a ton of webnovelists and SF/F slop providers there is a really harsh barrier around the book every 2 months line that I have seen like nobody cross and even then the quality loss is substantial, AND they are only doing this by writing 2+ different series.
@melfmaster@Kazak_Medved@DoDeportations The range they had for the total fraud in china was pretty wide it went from like 300million overcount at the top end which even they thought was very unlikely. This would boost their average gdp per capita but like 30% but...that wouldn't sound unreasonable?
@melfmaster@Kazak_Medved@DoDeportations I looked into some of this stuff, it's hard to get a good read on. More of my impression was it that there were actually less people in more poor areas and it's not done for international aid but for internal statistics/aid and support.
@johndrewmarkley My experience in school it was the left wing women that let this occur because the violent kids had a bad home life, and if they get suspended again what would it do for their future. But me its fine to get beaten unconscious a few times, maybe I can be more empathetic to them.
