Empathy begins with #selfempathy and then expands to #empathy for others.

Just like in an airplane, you're supposed to put on your oxygen mask first and then help others. Can't help anybody else if you're passing out from O2 deprivation!

If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.~ Martin Luther King Jr.

Just start & keep on doing it (whatever the important ‘it’ in your life/ work etc. may be)!

[Vala Afshar @ValaAfshar]

A good mentor will:

1. push you harder than you expect
2. guide you to ask better questions
3. expect continuous improvement
4. dare you to dream big
5. challenge assumptions
6. be a lifelong student
7. appreciate self-taught mentees
8. teach you how to think, not what to think
