Among the victims were the administrator of the Fita Mikael Church and women returning from a mill shop. The Ethiopian National Defense Forces went door to door, breaking into homes and brutally executing innocent civilians without mercy.

Some of the bodies of the victims have not yet been buried. Below is the list of the 46 innocent civilians killed:
