FRIDAY REMINDER: “Unless and until new information emerges, my friendship and loyalty are permanent and pensionable. Unless and until facts and circumstances change, my opposition and enmity are also permanent and pensionable.” - @elrufai 2019
EL-RUFAI: JUSTICE SHOULD BE SEEN DONE
The NSCIA has persistently refrained from commenting on the controversy surrounding the prosecutions of @elrufai or any political figure. However, recent developments in the public domain have raised serious concerns about religious bias.
There's no difference between the two of you, Malam Yusuf. He stereotyped Muslims and Fulani people because he doesn't belong to either group and likely harbors bias against them. You, on the other hand, excluded the group you belong to and stereotyped everyone else. Both approaches are rooted in the same kind of prejudice.
Woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military, economic, and political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth. #ApostolicJourney#Cameroon https://t.co/bKteFZ3iWE
When he took over, there were plans for gas power plants in Kaduna and Kano as part of the AKK project. He abandoned those and awarded the contract for Gwagwalada only. Today, he’s talking about 1,000 MW in Plateau. Tinubu clearly has no real commitment to the core North!
I laugh in Chinese 😂
Should I burst your bubble? Let me burst it because I see that you don’t want to learn. You have been fed with lies and it has compounded your ignorance.
You are confusing the first three hundred years of early Christianity with the last 1700 years of Christendom. Yes, the early followers of Jesus were persecuted. However, the moment the Roman Empire adopted Christianity under Constantine and later made it the only legal religion with the Edict of Thessalonica in 380 AD, the persecuted became the violent persecutors. Pagans were slaughtered and their temples destroyed.
Have you read about Charlemagne? During the Saxon Wars in the 8th century, he issued a law called the “Capitulatio de partibus Saxoniae.” His official state policy was baptism or death. I know you don’t know this Barbie 😂. He beheaded thousands of Saxons in a single day at the Massacre of Verden for refusing to convert.
When the Conquistadors arrived in the Americas, they read a document called the “Requerimiento” to the native populations. It demanded they submit to the Church and the Spanish Crown, or face war, enslavement, and death. Was that people repenting and turning to Jesus? State violence played a huge role in Christianizing Europe and the Americas.
Now let me turn to Islam. I see that you are ignorant, and this has made you conflate political expansion with religious conversion.
When Muslim armies defeated the Byzantine and Persian empires, they conquered land and established political authority. They did not put swords to the necks of civilians to change their faith. If they did, places like Egypt, Syria, and Persia would have become Muslim overnight.
However, historical records show these regions remained majority Christian and Zoroastrian for almost 300 years after the initial Islamic conquest. They converted gradually over centuries under the Dhimmi system because they were protected and allowed to keep their faith.
Take a look at the largest Muslim populations today. Indonesia, Malaysia, and massive regions of East and West Africa. No Muslim army ever marched there. Islam spread entirely through trade routes, scholars, and the moral character of Muslim merchants.
Do not take my word for it. Sir Thomas Arnold, a non-Muslim historian in his book “The Preaching of Islam” thoroughly dismantled this sword myth. In fact, the famous British historian De Lacy O'Leary wrote in his book “Islam at the Crossroads” and stated expressly that: the myth of the legend of fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the point of the sword is one of the most fantastically absurd myths that historians have ever repeated.
Will I open your head and speak truth to it if you can’t be open minded to learn? This subject matter is well above your pay grade. Maybe your boss Dachomo will do better. And I promise, I will school him.
Thank you for your attention.
You didn’t just leave willingly, you left because you were ordered by the authorities to leave immediately, something you denied last night to massage your ego. Alex, we know you came to Nigeria with a clear mission to ignite anarchy by setting us against each other, but like many before you, that mission has failed. Nigeria is bigger than you and even those who sent you here.
Good riddance.
Stone Age?
At a time when you were still in caves searching for fire, we were inscribing human rights on the Cyrus Cylinder.
We endured the storm of Alexander and the Mongol invasions and remained; because Iran is not just a country, it is a civilization.
More voices are speaking up Another TikTok influencer, Shakur Amin, breaks down what really happened in Jos two days ago and exposes what this foreigner is doing in our country.
You have not said anything about the 10 million Christians Trump is starving in Cuba.
You have not said anything regarding the Christians killed in Lebanon by Israel.
You are a piece of shit.
It is shocking that the lawless and incompetent @OfficialDSSNG would file a counter-motion in a Nigerian court claiming it is detaining a Nigerian citizen simply because he made an unsavory comment about Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, a war criminal.
Even the state of Israel would not arrest, let alone detain, an Israeli citizen for making such a post. As I have long said, the DSS has gone, far beyond useless!
Dear @GuardianNigeria,
Walter Lippmann said, "The journalist's job is not to report what people say, but to verify what people say."
As a respected national newspaper, Guardian is expected to verify the authenticity of statements before reporting them. The work of a professional journalist is to investigate and verify, not just report lies and unverified information.
Regards to your team!
