I welcome the words of @michaelgove: 'Cladding victims shouldn't pay a penny'. We can all agree that leaseholders should not pay for cladding removal. The one group who are not responsible are the leaseholders who do not own a single brick in the building. https://t.co/M35GkxPzVH
Superb article in the Sunday Times on the nightmare cladding bills being faced unfairly, by many leaseholders - life distructive stuff. Govt needs to rethink. https://t.co/253uSO0pbH
PS sorry article is paywalled, but wanted to highlight anyway
We are extremely grateful to MP @AndrewRosindell for standing up for his constituents & for voting to protect the victims of the #BuildingSafetyCrisis.
Thank you @RomfordRecorder for giving the victims at Romford a voice.

This is outrageous. ❌
1. There is no way leaseholders could have foreseen that their buildings had not been built to regulations.
2. We are not asking for taxpayers to pay. We are asking for those responsible to pay.

Last month @BorisJohnson promised “no leaseholder should have to pay the unaffordable costs of fixing safety defects that they did not cause”.
This week he blocked legislation that would ensure it.
Today he admitted they'd face costs under Govt plans.
My PMQ⬇️@ukcag@Sheff_CAG
@bellies_ten @SammyJefferson@MartinSLewis@JuliaHB1 This is incorrect. Leaseholders do not even own the very walls surrounding our property. I don’t even own the exterior side of the windows/doors, the only part of my balcony I own is the flooring.
Huge thank you to @AndrewRosindell for your support for innocent leaseholders last night. Thousands of us are so appreciative of your help.
@JuliaLopezMP So so disappointed to be one of your constituents and see you fighting against us.
