Upgrading the access road to the Wajir County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP) to bitumen standards undertaken by the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) under Package 6 of its development tenders.

The project forms part of the Government’s broader national initiative to provide critical enabling infrastructure, including quality road networks, to support the operationalisation of priority County Aggregation and Industrial Parks across the country.

The improved road will enhance accessibility to the Wajir CAIP, facilitate the movement of goods and raw materials, reduce transport costs and strengthen the park’s potential to drive local manufacturing, trade, investment and job creation.

Consequently, we will on 12th August, 2026, launch a nationwide public consultation that will bring together citizens from every walk of life - young people, professionals, businesses, faith leaders, academia, workers and civil society - to build a shared vision for our nation's future.

Together, we will define the next chapter of Kenya's story and build an industrialised, globally competitive and prosperous nation for generations to come.

It has upheld the impeachment of Gachagua, it has also confirmed that the appointment of Prof Kindiki as DP was done in accordance with the law, there was no need to have the IEBC’s input, and the ruling is quite substantive. Though the court found that the Senate ought to have accorded Gachagua an adjournment, it has not faulted the impeachment. The impeachment is final; it has only awarded damages of 50 million to be paid to Gachagua for not having been heard on an adjournment, that is the only positive finding
