— Also, I can’t share the issue because it would be counterproductive. It’s not a Wanda story, so I’m less inclined to reveal spoilers. I don’t want to negatively impact another fandom, especially when sales could influence whether their favorite characters get future stories. !!
All I'm gonna say is that for a very long time, except maybe New X-Men, Jean's telekinesis was a beam coming out of her head. These gestures and hand movements are very...someone else.
Notice how Jean just points at the wave and it splits? That's exactly why her telekinesis isn't iconic or captivating. Whereas Wanda's powers are actually choreographed with expression, movement, and visual flair. This comparison isn't helping Jean the way you think it is.
Notice how Jean debuts in a new video game and all #they can talk about is Wanda and she's finally debuting in the MCU and, again, all they can talk about is Wanda

I recommend to pick up Sorcerer Supreme #6. Its tone is significantly darker, and the villains are creepy and powerful. There are strong team-up moments btwn Wanda/Wiccan/Somnus, and the conflict leans more into psychological, and horror themes. Strange references are also good.
Wanda just altered possibility and luck so that everyone in the world, no matter where they are, will enjoy a single day where everything goes right for them no matter what happens. This is the coolest, most fun, and most heroic thing a superhero could do omg. #Hexspoilers
These had some good beats for Wanda, but a character with 50+ years of publication history and immense growth in redefining her power and skill shouldn't still have the same limitations she had when first learning magic. You can't expect that for any characters progression tbh.
