JOINT STATEMENT OF PAKISTAN AND CHINA 🇨🇳 🤝 🇵🇰

Pakistan & China have put forward 5x point For Restoring Peace & Stability in the Gulf & Middle East Region.

- Immediate Ceasefire:
Both countries called for an urgent halt to hostilities, emphasizing the need to prevent further escalation and ensure humanitarian aid reaches affected populations.

- Launch of Peace Talks:
China and Pakistan stressed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path forward. They urged all parties to respect sovereignty, particularly of Iran & Gulf states, & commit to peaceful negotiations without threats or use of force.

- Protection of Civilians & Infrastructure:
The initiative highlights strict adherence to international humanitarian law, urging parties to avoid targeting civilians & critical infrastructure such as energy facilities & nuclear plants.

- Safeguarding Maritime Routes:
Special attention was given to the strategic Strait of Hormuz, with calls to ensure the safety of ships & crews & to restore normal commercial traffic swiftly.

- Upholding the UN Charter:
Reaffirming support for multilateralism, both nations emphasized the central role of the United Nations in facilitating a comprehensive & lasting peace framework based on international law.
