“For the first time in Africa”?

First of all, the video is not of Somalia’s Gorgor forces, and these are not Somali troops.

Second, Somalia once fielded one of the strongest militaries on the continent. The Somali armed forces also supported and trained African liberation movements fighting colonial and apartheid rule. So this is neither the first time nor something entirely new to Somalia.

Yes, Somalia is entering a new phase, but that comes after decades of resistance, including confronting a global superpower in the streets of Mogadishu and bringing down its helicopters. In other words, we did not simply arrive at this point because of someone else, we fought our way here ourselves.

Portraying Somalia or Africa as though there were no history or military capability before Turkey arrived is a narrative that overstates the reality and downplays Somalia’s history.

One Tribe Secessionist Regime in Hargeisa President Cirro arrived this morning at Washington Dulles International Airport - ten minutes from my home in Loudoun County.

For weeks, his propaganda merchants and taxpayer-funded lobbyists advertised this trip as though the White House had summoned him for a historic diplomatic breakthrough.

Then reality arrived before Cirro did.
No official United States reception.
No government motorcade.
No Secret Service welcome.
No police escort.
No red carpet.
No evidence of presidential-level protocol.

Cirro reportedly walked through the ordinary passenger exit while rented vehicles waited in public airport parking -where anyone with a credit card can park for approximately $6 an hour.

This was not the majestic arrival of a government leader invited and received by Washington. Based on what was publicly visible, it looked like an ordinary passenger arrival repackaged by desperate lobbyists as a diplomatic earthquake.

What an embarrassing political circus.
Cirro’s lobbyists can purchase meetings, rent luxury vehicles, manufacture photographs and draft flattering press releases. What they cannot purchase is recognition by the United States.

A rental vehicle is not a government motorcade.
A paid lobbyist is not an American official.
A photograph is not diplomatic recognition.
And fiction does not become foreign policy merely because Cirro’s propaganda office repeats it.

How long will this administration continue insulting the public’s intelligence? How much taxpayers’ money must be burned before Cirro admits that lobbyists have been selling him an expensive fantasy?

There is nothing wrong with hiring lobbyists when the mission is lawful, realistic, and measurable. I hired THE BEST OF THE BEST - the most ethical Washington lobbyists at STRYK GLOBAL DIPLOMACY - with one unmistakable objective: to pursue the lawful removal of Hassan Sheikh Mohamud from office - and we are making progress.

Cirro, however, appears to be financing a recognition mirage: expensive travel, staged excitement, rented vehicles and recycled lies - followed by absolutely no recognition.

Enough of this humiliating deception.
Stop treating taxpayers like fools.
Stop converting rented access into imaginary diplomacy.
Stop paying lobbyists to manufacture a victory that does not exist.
And stop calling every ordinary trip to Washington “historic.”

Washington did not roll out the red carpet. Cirro’s team rolled out another lie - and apparently left the taxpayers paying the airport-parking bill.
