اليوم فقط كشفت رويترز أن السعودية، بعد الغدر الأمريكي الأخير وتآمرها مع الحوثي لتسليمه باب المندب وموافقة امريكا على حصار السعودية، توجهت السعودية إلى الصين ويبدو انها اتفقت مع الصين لوقف هذه اللعبة الامريكية الاسرائيلية الايرانية...

وبكين تحركت فعلا وبشكل مباشر وسريع، وأرسلت رسالة إلى طهران تطالبها بوقف اللعبة في باب المندب ومنع توسع الأزمة في البحر الأحمر.

وهنا انتبه للتوقيت...

خبر التحرك السعودي–الصيني نشرته رويترز ظهر اليوم...

ومنذ قليل خرج خبر أمريكي ضخم جدا:
الخارجية الأمريكية توافق على صفقة بيع السعودية 48 مقاتلة F-35 ....
48 مقاتلة من أكثر الطائرات الأمريكية تطورا...وقد طبّعت بعض الدول مع اسرائيل لاجل هذه المقاتلات ولم تحصل عليها وليس هذا فقط بل 49 محركا من طراز Pratt & Whitney...إضافة إلى منظومات اتصالات ومعدات دعم وقطع غيار وتدريب وتجهيزات مرتبطة بالصفقة.

في تقديري يصعب فصل التوقيت عن المشهد الأكبر.قبل أيام السعودية تطلب من ترامب تدخلا عسكريا ضد الحوثي...فيرفض ويفتح قناة سرّية مع الحوثي واليوم يسترضي السعودية بالمقاتلات الاقوى في العالم...

لذلك وحتى تفهم حجم الضربة السعودية للمخطط الامريكي الاسرائيلي الايراني الحوثي....بلغ الامر اليوم بعد تدخل الصينيين ان الخارجية الإيرانية نفسها خرجت لتقول إن أي اعتداء على المقدسات الإسلامية، وفي مقدمتها مكة، عمل مدان، وهذا اتّهام مباشر للحوثيين اتباع ايران والذين لم يتحركوا الا بضوء اخضر ايراني...

وهذا يؤكد لك ان التحرك السعودي اليوم الذي كتبت عنه مقال ... قد قلب الطاولة على الاحتلال الاسرائيلي الذي يريد تطبيعا مع السعودية وقلب الطاولة على ايران والحوثي ومن خلفهم امريكا .. وهذه امريكا تكسر "الخطوط الحمراء الاسرائيلية" وتذهب مسرعة لتقديم ترضيات للمملكة العربية السعودية في سبيل وقف هذا التقارب السعودي الصيني...

I remember a particular moment on my flight to Saudi Arabia on 10 April. I looked at the flight map, saw that we had entered Saudi airspace, and felt myself relax.
The two-week US–Iran ceasefire had been announced just two days earlier. I was relieved, of course. But I had no way of knowing whether it would hold throughout my trip.
In the weeks before departure, people had kept asking whether I should cancel. I understood their concern. I had been following the news too, and the decision to travel was mine to make and take responsibility for.

Alongside the headlines, though, I had been watching how the Saudi authorities were responding to the problems people were facing.
There were temporary arrangements for eligible stranded visitors whose visas had expired, allowing extensions under specified conditions or departure without overstay penalties. Saudi Arabia was also providing an alternative route for travellers affected by disruption elsewhere: Gulf Air’s temporary services through Dammam included ground transfers and assistance with transit visas for eligible passengers. Official guidance explained the visa procedures, the deadlines and where people could call for assistance.

I paid attention to how those arrangements were coming together. Decisions about visas, airport operations and passenger transport were addressing different parts of the same problem. The updates helped me understand what was being done and what it meant for the people affected.
Watching that response take shape was what began to reassure me. I could see practical measures being introduced, information being shared, and foreign visitors’ difficulties being included in the response.

Those details mattered because I could imagine finding myself in a similar situation. What if my flight was cancelled? What if I could not leave before my visa expired? Would there be somewhere to turn? Would my situation be taken seriously, even though I was not a citizen?
What I was seeing gave me reason to trust that it would. The pace of the response, the coordination I could see between those arrangements, and the clarity of the information all contributed to that feeling. I began to feel that, if circumstances changed, I would have help finding a way through them.

That was the feeling I carried onto the plane.

I have realised how often I return to safety when I write about Saudi Arabia. It means several things to me: protection from external threats, feeling at ease in a city, being able to turn to the authorities for help, and experiencing kindness and care from the people around me.

As a visitor, feeling that your wellbeing matters has a profound effect on your relationship with a country. That has been part of my experience of Saudi Arabia, both in the response I was following before this trip and in the way people have made me feel welcome there.

Reading the news from a distance now, I keep thinking about that moment in the air. Given the opportunity to be in the Kingdom, I would still choose to be there.
I understand a little better now how much that trust means to me. Feeling protected, and feeling that someone will care if you need help, are things I no longer take for granted.
