Tau ga kenapa erupsi anak krakatau selalu disorot banget sama dunia?

Karena pernah terjadi letusan sebelumnya yang efeknya bener-bener bikin bumi kiamat kecil di tanggal 26 -27 Agustus 1883. Saat itu gunung krakatau purba meledak hebat banget sampe bikin sejarah dunia berubah total.

Bayangin aja saking dahsyatnya ledakannya, suaranya sampe dinobatin sebagai suara paling berisik yang pernah didengar manusia di bumi.

Suara dentumannya kedengeran jelas sampe ke pulau Rodriguez di deket Afrika yang jaraknya hampir 4800 km, bahkan orang-orang di Australia ngira itu suara tembakan meriam saking kerasnya. Ada juga kru kapal Norham Castle yang waktu itu jaraknya sekitar 40 km dari lokasi sampe ngelaporin kalo setengah dari jumlah kru mereka ngalamin pecah gendang telinga.

Ledakan itu juga otomatis memicu tsunami raksasa setinggi 40 meter, seukuran sama gedung belasan lantai sekarang.

Gelombang tsunami itu bikin 163 desa di pesisir Banten & Lampung rata sama tanah. Ngeri banget! Bahkan kapal perang Belanda sampe keseret ombak & terdampar sejauh 3 km ke dalam hutan di Lampung.

Ga cuma itu, gelombangnya bahkan sampe juga ke pesisir pantai di Afrika yang jaraknya jauh banget dari Indonesia.

Pastinya kejadian ini makan korban jiwa yang ga main-main. Catatan resmi ada sekitar 36.417 orang tewas, ini di tahun 1883 lho yaa, dan di tahun itu jumlah segitu udah sangat banyak! Tapi ada juga sejarawan yang yakin kalo angka aslinya jauh lebih gede dari yang tercatat krn banyak korban yang tersapu ke laut dan ga pernah ditemukan.

Efeknya ga cuma berhenti di Indonesia aja, tapi berdampak ke seluruh dunia. Abu vulkanik krakatau purba ini terlontar sejauh 80 km ke atmosfer bumi dan menyebar menyelimuti isi seisi bumi. Asli ga bisa ngebayangin.

Kejadian itu akhirnya bikin suhu global langsung turun drastis sekitar 1°C, dan itu berlangsung selama beberapa tahun. Daerah di sekitar selat sunda bahkan sempat gelap gulita selama beberapa hari krn langit ketutupan debu vulkanik.

Debu vulkanik ini juga bikin pemandangan langit di berbagai belahan dunia berubah drastis. Matahari & bulan sampe keliatan jadi warna hijau kebiruan selama berbulan-bulan, dan langit di Eropa berubah jadi merah darah yang pekat banget. Ga kebayang ngerinya.

Letusan super dahsyat ini akhirnya ngehancurin sekitar 70% tubuh gunung krakatau purba & bikin dia tenggelam jadi kaldera di bawah laut. Sisa-sisa kaldera bawah laut itu muncul lagi di tahun 1927 dan tumbuh terus sampe sekarang, itu dia yang kita kenal sebagai ANAK KRAKATAU yang hari ini erupsi.

Wajar banget kalo dunia internasional selalu mantau dan was-was setiap kali anak krakatau mulai batuk-batuk, krn mereka tau persis gimana ngerinya "gen" dari si ibu yang dulu pernah mengguncang dunia 🙈

The scenes coming out of Nepal are heartbreaking.
In a matter of minutes, a wall of water and mud tore through valleys, sweeping away homes, roads, vehicles, and entire families. Hundreds are confirmed dead. Over a thousand more are still missing — including many tourists who were simply traveling through the Himalayas.
Watching this footage, one thing becomes painfully clear:
When nature moves this fast, no one gets time to run.
A glacial collapse high in the mountains sent a surge racing down the Trishuli River. Water levels rose 7–9 meters in just 30 minutes. People had almost no chance.
This is not just a disaster.
This is a reminder of how small we are in front of the mountains.
Pray for Nepal.

On august 26, 2026, a catastrophic flood and debris-flow disaster struck the Himalayan region near the Nepal-Tibet border.

Investigators believe a massive high-altitude glacier and ice-rock collapse triggered a violent surge of rock, mud, ice sediment and water through the valley below. The resulting flood tore through communities, roads, bridges and hydropower infrastructure along the mountain river systems.

What begin high in the Himalayas became a devastating wall of debris and water downstream.

A week later, the scale of tragedy remains difficult to comprehend. Rescue teams continue searching for survivors, including people believed to be trapped inside damaged hydropower tunnels.
