Scaling for the future
I’ve been shipping commercial code for 19+ years.
I’ve gone from saving code on floppy disks💾 to prompting Gemini. From emulating environments in heavy VMs to lightweight Docker containers.
The tech world is unrecognizable from when I started. Here is how I stay relevant. 🧵
@MGoodnessr • Zero Risk: No depreciating asset on his balance sheet, no volatile interest rate hikes on a vehicle asset, and zero maintenance or hijacking liabilities.
Sometimes paying a premium for a service is actually the cheaper, smarter financial play. (3/3)
@MGoodnessr It all comes down to his tax and corporate strategy. If he's a business owner or an independent consultant, that R12k–R13k isn't coming out of his personal pocket—it’s a pre-tax company expense.
When you look at the macro picture, the math changes completely: 👇 (1/3)
• Tax Write-offs: He can likely claim the VAT back and deduct the entire travel cost from corporate tax. Personal car loans don't give you that loop.
• Zero Admin: SARS requires rigorous logbook tracking for personal cars. Downloading a clean Uber invoice takes 2 clicks and is audit-proof. (2/3)

@Lee_Raa_Tuu That flag locks doors if you want to fund a startup idea later. You can negotiate terms yourself without third-party fees. Also, consider using your car for Uber/Bolt on weekends for extra cash. In a few years, you’ll look back at this as just a bump in the road. ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾(2/2)
@Lee_Raa_Tuu You're not alone in this storm. Having been there, I advise tackling it head-on. Contact every creditor ASAP to renegotiate minimum payments directly. It takes longer, but it keeps your credit record clean. Avoid debt review if you can—it flags your profile for years. (1/2)
@trq212@ClaudeDevs Does getting a 48 hours ban qualifies as annoying? It would be nice to get a mail when one is blocked for that long, so I can understand how to account this scenario in the future
