Yesterday P3/4/5 as part of their IDL were investigating layers of soil using a probe. We also used our measuring skills to find out how deep we drilled into the ground @SoilAssociation@ScotSTEMAmb
P5/6/7 were investigating how electrical circuits work today. Testing out different components and problem solving when things didn’t quite go to plan.
Our Friday skills groups are proving a big hit with all the pupils. It’s great to see them learning skills with the support of our wonderful parents #skillsforlife
A huge thank you to our Junior Management Team for organising a fantastic @BBCCiN day which involved a super tasty bake sale, class quizzes, fun games and of course, splat the JMT and Mr F! We have raised over £200 so far!
P5/6/7have had a fantastic end to their Titanic topic with an excellent visit to @The_Tall_Ship where they learnt about morse code from retired radio operators and how to set the Captains Table.
P5/6/7 invited parents onboard RMS Titanic this afternoon to show what they had been learning over the previous term. Parents made a huge effort to dress appropriately for their assigned class and the children enjoyed preparing food for them.
Today our P5/6/7 class laid down hand made poppy crosses in memory of all of those the village of Aberfoyle lost in both World Wars @PoppyLegion#wewillneverforget#RemembanceDay
Today we were investigating boat design using tin foil to see how many cubes a tin foil boat could hold. We managed 100 in some of the boats before running out of time. We will investigate how many they can truly hold on Monday. Watch this space @ScotSTEMAmb@McLarenSTEM
Outdoor Learning today consisted of writing autumnal Haiku poems using the forest as inspiration. We also looked at angles in nature. We are so lucky to have all this space on our doorstep @Stirling_ESOE@JohnMuirTrust
P5/6/7 enjoyed the Climate Ready Classroom activities last Thursday and are putting some of their knowledge into action already this week. Great work 👍
P5/6/7 have been busy this morning using their knowledge of knots to build the frame of their rafts as part of their topic ‘Titanic’. There was some excellent team work and great knots. Well done team 👍👌
