Urgent: Water Wastage Due to Overflowing Water Leakage in Jogeshwari West

For past 10 days, water has been continuously overflowing and wasting thousands of litres in a city already facing water shortage, no action has been taken by Assistant Engineer (Water Works), Sub-Engineer (Water Works), & Junior Engineer (Water Works).

Respected Sir/Madam,

In the MARG (Management and Redressal of Grievance) system, the complaint status is not showing properly and no visible action has been taken till date regarding the road digging work being carried out without permission.

I had submitted my first grievance on 15/05/2026, however till today, dated 12/06/2026, the issue remains unresolved. The monsoon season has already started, and the dug-up road is creating dangerous conditions for pedestrians and motorists.

Hon. Smt. Ashwini Bhide Madam, Municipal Commissioner, had directed that all maintenance and road-related works should be completed by May 2026. However, even half of June has passed, and it appears that K/West officers are not complying with the orders of the Hon. Municipal Commissioner.

Requesting immediate intervention and to take action against responsible contractors/officers if required, and resolve the matter urgently in public interest.

Past 1 month approx., huge pipes and concrete barricades are openly dumped on public road in front of Markaz Restaurant, Off S.V. Road, Jogeshwari West, Mumbai: 400102. This is causing obstruction to pedestrians/vehicles, dust pollution, unhygienic conditions and serious accident risk.

Why are contractors not shifting these materials to their warehouse/godown after work? Why are Road Engineer & Assistant Engineer of K/West Ward ignoring this for Month? Are authorities waiting for a major accident to happen?

Open dumping of construction materials on public roads for long periods should attract heavy penalties/fines on contractors for illegal occupation of public space, inconvenience to citizens and endangering public safety.

Requesting immediate action to clear all pipes, concrete barricades and debris from the roadside and fix responsibility on concerned officials if negligence is found.

It is Heard in public that AE Maintenance And Road Engineer are Taken Bribe from Contractor therefore they are not looking into it

Debris has been openly dumped causing severe air pollution and inconvenience to patients, senior citizens and pedestrians. Also 2 potholes have been left incomplete after excavation work which is dangerous for public safety.
