🔥 How Do We Know What to Believe Anymore?

One of the hardest challenges in life is knowing what story to believe.

We are surrounded by stories from the moment we are born. Stories about who we are, what success is supposed to look like, what love should feel like, what God is, what history means, who the good people are, who the bad people are, what we should fear, what we should trust, and what kind of life we are supposed to live. Most of us accept many of those stories long before we are old enough to question where they came from.

Then, at some point, life begins to crack some of them open.

You discover that not everything you were taught was complete. Some things were misunderstood. Some were passed down through generations without ever being questioned. Some were shaped by fear, culture, trauma, pride, loyalty, or the need to belong. And some stories become so deeply woven into who we think we are that questioning them can feel like losing a piece of ourselves.

That is where discernment begins.

Discernment is not automatically believing the opposite of what you were told. It is not becoming suspicious of everything. It is learning how to stand in the middle of the noise without immediately surrendering your mind to the loudest voice. It is becoming willing to ask better questions, look at evidence, notice patterns, listen to your intuition, and still remain humble enough to admit when you may be wrong.

That last part is where real growth happens.

Because eventually, the stories we have to question are not only the ones coming from the outside world. They are the ones we have been quietly telling ourselves for years. The story that says you are not enough. The story that says your mistakes define you. The story that says you are too old to start over. The story that says you have to remain loyal to a version of yourself that no longer feels true. The story that says changing your mind makes you weak.

Sometimes changing your mind is exactly what truth requires.

The deeper I go in this life, the more I realize that certainty and truth are not always the same thing. Certainty can feel comforting because it removes the tension of not knowing. Truth can be much more uncomfortable because it asks us to keep looking, keep learning, and sometimes release beliefs we once defended with everything we had.

There is strength in being able to say, “I don’t know yet.”

There is freedom in not needing an immediate answer.

There is wisdom in allowing new information to change you.

Maybe awakening is not about finding one perfect story and holding onto it forever. Maybe it is about becoming conscious enough that no story owns you. You can listen without blindly accepting. You can question without becoming cynical. You can believe deeply and still remain open. You can trust your inner knowing while continuing to test your own assumptions.

In a world where everyone seems desperate to tell you what to believe, one of the most powerful things you can do is learn how to think, feel, observe, and discern for yourself.

Not every story deserves your belief.

Not every belief deserves your loyalty.

And sometimes the greatest truth you will ever discover begins with the courage to question the story you have been living inside.

Tu cerebro no distingue del todo entre lo que ves y lo que vivís: libera la misma química interna. Elegí contenidos que te eleven, no que te hundan.

🏠 El ambiente —

Un espacio desordenado o sucio también baja tu frecuencia. Organizar y cuidar tu entorno es una forma de decirle al Universo que estás lista/o para recibir más.
