Young porn actress Emily Willis won AVN Female Performer of the Year in 2021. Three years later she became permanently disabled at 25.
In the video below, a 2018 interview where Emily Willis talks about her background and her career.
She was born Litzy Lara Banuelos in Argentina in 1998. An American family from Utah adopted her as a child. She grew up Mormon in Salt Lake City.
At 19 she moved to Los Angeles and signed her first adult contract. Within three years she was the biggest young performer in America. In January 2021, at 22, she won AVN Female Performer of the Year, the youngest person ever to win it.
In late January 2024 she checked into Summit Malibu for ketamine addiction. On February 4 staff found her unresponsive. Paramedics performed CPR for 30-40 minutes. The prolonged lack of oxygen left her with permanent anoxic brain damage.
She survived.
She is 25. She cannot speak. She cannot walk. She cannot eat without a feeding tube. She shows awareness in her eyes but cannot communicate what she sees. Doctors have told the family the brain damage is permanent.
Her mother Yesenia Cooper has been documenting the recovery on social media for over a year. Fundraising for her 24-hour care has crossed hundreds of thousands of dollars. Yesenia says Emily recognizes her when she walks into the room but cannot say so.
In 2024 the family filed a lawsuit against the facility alleging negligence. In 2026 they reached a 3 million dollar settlement. The facility did not admit liability.
The girl who was the biggest young name in the industry is now in a hospital bed being turned every two hours so she does not get bedsores.
Was Emily Willis destroyed by the facility that was supposed to save her, or by the industry that got her there in the first place?
Porn star Kayden Kross stopped having sex with men on camera because her fiance got jealous. He kept having sex with other women on camera, and she helped dress them.
His ex-wife, also in porn, lived next door.
In the video below, ABC asks them why she walked away from that money. At the end they ask why she did this when she could have done anything. Her answer: at 29 she had the love of her life, a baby, a nice house and her retirement set.
She left a lot of money behind to make him comfortable. "I'm a jealous person," Manuel Ferrara says, and ABC reports that he admits it's a double standard.
She still sized up the women in his makeup chair. "Is she sexier than I am, smarter, better in bed." She wrote that herself.
Five years later she launched Deeper, one of the main sites of Vixen Media Group. AVN named her Director of the Year twice.
He says he started porn so one day he could meet her.
Did she save her relationship, or give up her money for a man who kept doing the same thing?
Former p*rn actress Christy Mack recounts a brutal attack by her ex-boyfriend, an MMA fighter known as War Machine.
In August 2014, Jonathan Koppenhaver broke into her Las Vegas home and brutally attacked her and another man. Christy, who had previously worked in the p*rn industry, suffered multiple facial fractures, lost several teeth, and barely survived. She later revealed that she genuinely believed he was going to kill her that night.
During her court testimony, Christy broke down in tears while recalling the terrifying details. Her former boyfriend, who once fought in the UFC and Bellator, was sentenced in 2017 to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 36 years.
Do you think someone capable of such brutality deserves even one chance to walk free again?
Violet Myers says she showed up to Kazumi's FRIENDSGIVING dressed as a PILGRIM, thinking it was just a normal Thanksgiving dinner. ๐
But when she went looking for the bathroom, she opened the WRONG DOOR and walked straight into people having SEX.
And somehow, things got even WILDER when she went outside to the pool.
The funniest part? She was still wearing her PILGRIM COSTUME the entire time.

P*rn destroyed my life.
A former p*rn actress wanted to start a new life, but she admitted that even after leaving the industry, she couldnโt escape her past.
She was making up to $60,000 a month doing p*rn. Then she walked away from it all, hoping to finally live a normal life.
Five years later, she was sitting in front of a camera, crying because people still refused to accept her.
When the interviewer asked how she wished people would treat her, she covered her mouth and struggled to hold back tears.
She said she simply wanted to be treated like an ordinary married nurse with children in Indiana.
Then she admitted she didn't believe that would ever happen.
And the most surprising part? She claimed she could return to p*rn and make $20,000 in just one week. But she refused because she couldn't bear the thought of putting more videos of herself on the internet.
United States. March 2016.
Her name is Bree Olson.
At 19, Bree was studying biology at Purdue University while working full time as a telemarketer.
She had considered a career in medicine, but one day she decided to try something completely different.
She flew to Los Angeles to film her first adult scene.
What happened next changed her plans entirely.
Bree was shocked by how much money she could make in such a short amount of time.
Eventually, she dropped out of college and began pursuing a career in adult entertainment.
Before long, she became one of the industry's most recognizable performers.
According to Bree, at the height of her career, she was earning between $30,000 and $60,000 a month.
She traveled, won awards, and enjoyed a lifestyle she once could only dream of.
In 2011, she found herself at the center of a major media frenzy after becoming romantically involved with Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen.
Her private life suddenly became national entertainment.
Television personalities discussed her relationships, her career, and whether someone with her background could ever become a respectable wife or mother.
That same year, at 25, Bree decided to leave the adult film industry.
She hoped that walking away would allow her to build a new identity and finally escape the public judgment surrounding her career.
But things didn't turn out the way she expected.
She said employers rejected her because of her past, and people she met sometimes stopped talking to her after discovering what she used to do.
Some treated her as though she were a danger to children.
Bree described feeling so uncomfortable in public that she sometimes stayed inside her home for days or even weeks.
And there was something else she couldn't escape.
Her old videos were still online.
Even though she had stopped filming, her previous work continued circulating, and she wasn't receiving royalties from those recordings.
In March 2016, Bree agreed to sit down for an emotional interview with Real Women, Real Stories.
She spoke openly about her career, the money she had earned, and the struggles she faced after leaving.
She made it clear that she didn't believe there was anything inherently wrong with working in the adult industry.
What hurt her most was the way people treated her afterward.
But the most emotional moment came near the end of the interview.
The interviewer asked Bree a simple question.
How would she like people to treat her?
For a moment, she couldn't answer.
She covered her mouth as tears filled her eyes.
Then she explained that she wanted to be treated like an ordinary woman with a family, children, and a normal career.
She said she would be incredibly happy if people could see her that way.
But she didn't believe it would ever happen.
Bree later explained that she didn't blame the adult industry itself for her suffering.
She blamed the judgment she faced after leaving.
By 2019, she had built her own business and found greater independence. But she said her past still created obstacles, including people refusing to work with her after learning about her former career.
Her story raises an uncomfortable contradiction.
Millions of people consume adult entertainment, yet some of those same people believe the performers who create it should never be allowed to move on from their past.
Do you think someone's former career should follow them for the rest of their life, even after they've decided to start over?
Peggy's hoarding got so bad that her dogs couldn't even be reached or fed. After prolonged neglect, they eventually died. When officials asked her to apologise, she insisted she had done nothing wrong. ๐ช How does someone get to this point?
LMAOOO this is so funny and it gets funnier every time I watch.
People take gatekeeping and labels way too seriously in every group or clique and this clip embodies it EVERY time.
He asked her for something small and red in the middle of a tourist crowd, and she actually DELIVERED, right there, without leaving the square ๐ณ
