اِنَّكَ لَا تَهۡدِىۡ مَنۡ اَحۡبَبۡتَ وَلٰـكِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَهۡدِىۡ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ​ؕ وَهُوَ اَعۡلَمُ بِالۡمُهۡتَدِيۡنَ

Translation:

(28:55) and when they hear any vain talk,78 they turn away from it, saying: "We have our deeds and you have your deeds. Peace be to you. We do not desire to act like the ignorant."

وَاِذَا سَمِعُوا اللَّغۡوَ اَعۡرَضُوۡا عَنۡهُ وَقَالُوۡا لَنَاۤ اَعۡمَالُنَا وَلَـكُمۡ اَعۡمَالُـكُمۡ سَلٰمٌ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَا نَبۡتَغِى الۡجٰهِلِيۡنَ

ترجمع:

(اے محمدﷺ) تم جس کو دوست رکھتے ہو اُسے ہدایت نہیں کر سکتے بلکہ خدا ہی جس کو چاہتا ہے ہدایت کرتا ہے اور وہ ہدایت پانیوالوں کو خوب جانتا ہے ﴿۵۶﴾

درجذیل آیات میں مسلمانوں (جو ایمان لائے) کے لیے ہدایت ہے کہ جب جاہل ان سے الجھنے لگے تو جواب میں کیا کرنا یا کہنا چاہیے
