This poem has been famously attributed to Ibn Abi al-Izz for years. The scholar, Sh. Muhammad Rihab, proves that it is actually correctly attributed to Muhibb al-Din ibn Shihnah. He puts forward multiple reasons for it.

@khaliqdawood Don't think any hanafis allow by CCD telescopes. There's a debate about other telescopes (I think analogue). Few scholars have allowed it, such as Ml Thanwi, Mf Khalid,& Mf Ridha, etc. Few days ago a new paper was put out which proves sightings with telescopes shouldn't be valid.
