There was a whole community that was displaced by Zama-Zamas, elderly people were sleeping on the floor in the police station. Not even one of those huge ass trucks went there to stabilise the situation but today they had them in numbers. Okay man 👍🏾.
Lol all marginalised groups are allowed to express themselves except the poor. When poor people express themselves they are told that their reality is not real. That studies and statistics disagree with their lived reality. Ay
What many don’t want to acknowledge is that the burden of immigration (illegal or legal) often rests on the shoulders of the poor.
They need to compete for access to schools, clinics, water, electricity, housing etc.
Since I’m in energy, I’ll use load reduction to illustrate.
This is where football business and football emotion often collide.
Fans judge a deal by how a jersey looks. Clubs judge it by what the contract delivers.
Kaizer Chiefs didn't simply "leave Nike for Kappa." When a sponsorship agreement expires, both parties negotiate. If the renewal terms don't align with the club's commercial ambitions, the club has every right to walk away. Chiefs had interest from multiple brands, including Puma, but ultimately chose Kappa because they believed the overall package was better for the club.
A kit deal isn't just about the logo on the chest. It includes guaranteed revenue, royalties from merchandise sales, marketing investment, product availability, global distribution, exclusivity, and how much control the club has over its own brand. Sometimes the company offering the most money isn't even the one that wins-the structure of the deal matters just as much.
You may not like Kappa's first designs, and that's a fair opinion. But saying Jessica "has blood on her hands" ignores how sponsorship negotiations actually work. Football clubs are businesses first. Every major decision is weighed against long-term commercial value, not just aesthetics.
Judge the kits if you want. But judge the business decision using the full picture, not just two photos side by side.
