SS construction documents from 1943 explicitly ordered "gasdichte Türen" (gas-tight doors) for the Birkenau crematoria, with dimensions matching the chambers. These featured double layers of wood, metal reinforcements, an insulation layer, and felt seals—identical in design to the wooden doors proven effective in Zyklon B delousing chambers.

Post-liberation inspections in 1945 recovered and documented such doors from the ruins. Survivor Henryk Tauber (Sonderkommando) described them in detail: two layers of wood with sealing material between and felt strips on the frame.

The "wooden door = impossible" claim ignores the actual engineering and documentation.
