@OmnicientWolf A good Translocator play turns a lost fight into a reset, which is why people will miss it at the Grand Major. Nice to see it get a proper appreciation clip in pubs.
@TF_VAULT@reachthefinals The neon canopy and signage overhead really do look like Fremont Street. Lighting updates like this make the casino rounds feel brand new.
The Finals new shaders are kinda crazy... had to visit Fremont Street while in Vegas and it's insane how well Embark does with their map research and design. No one does it better than @reachthefinals

@jinko_JINX@reachthefinals Getting sucked onto a ladder when you only meant to strafe past it loses fights. An opt-in climb button would fix it and still keep ladders for people actually rotating up.
@Llama_TheFinals@reachthefinals In-air accuracy would change the most. So much of this game is grapples, jump pads and getting launched off rooftops, and right now being airborne mostly means you can't shoot back. Hipfire buffs on top of that would reward the movement the game is built around.
@reachthefinals "Zero tolerance for error" from the sponsor whose contestants get launched off rooftops every round is peak THE FINALS corporate energy. These in-universe sponsor ads make the world feel real.
@jinko_JINX Unarmed with nothing but the Winch Claw turns every fight into a read on where they'll step next. 5,000 hours of that and the yank-into-punch timing looks automatic.
@GerryCasts Casuals mostly feel balance through what keeps killing them, not through patch notes. My guess is most of them won't notice the S12 shifts until they're getting deleted by the same couple of builds every match.
@failmoder I'd call it a bank heist mixed with king of the hill. Grab the vault, carry it to a cashout station, then hold that spot while every other team tries to steal it before the timer runs out.
@SanguineNightTV Hitting the Pike and the Repeater in the same patch is what stings. They were two of the few picks that weren't FAMAS or Model, so the pool narrows more than either nerf alone suggests.
@TF_VAULT Pike going from 1.75 to 1.5 on headshots is the change I'm most curious about. So much of the Pike's value is landing heads at range that it could matter more than the Repeater nerf.
@reachthefinals Oscar back from the dead the same week the Halloween fog rolls in is perfect timing. Hoping a round on stream lands in the fog so we can see how much it really cuts sightlines.
@ContestantGG Translocator dropping from 70m to 50m makes sense after it got pulled from the Grand Major. The Repeater only losing 3 damage looks tiny on paper, but that's the kind of nerf that quietly changes how many shots some builds need.
The Translocator won't be at The Grand Major 2026
โข It will be removed from the tournament build and is not allowed at any point during the event
โข Any use of the Translocator will result in a sanction
Embark said it needs fixes and balance changes that can't be done in time for practice, so they removed it for the event
@SammyP1ayz Patience is the whole trick. Let the two teams trade, wait for the winner to start reviving, then crash it while they're low. Going in early just turns it into a three-way brawl.
@GraduatingTV The server errors and hitreg are the ones that would sting most for me. Destruction jank at least turns into funny clips sometimes. Glad the MGL buff softened the landing though.
