@kikiiivt The only acceptable reason to tell someone to wear another shirt is if the one they have on is *literally* on fire, and even then, there's more important things to say.
A Gen Z joined the team.
Week one.
During onboarding, the manager said,
โWe sometimes stay late during peak periods.โ
Gen Z nodded.
Then asked,
โIs that paidโฆ or just expected?โ
The room went quiet.
- No attitude.
- No rebellion.
- Just a question.
Later that day, HR mentioned โgrowth opportunities.โ
Gen Z replied,
โDoes growth include raises, or just more responsibility?โ
Again, silence.
- No laziness.
- No entitlement.
- Just clarity.
Thatโs when the team realized something.
When people say
โGen Z is lazy,โ
what they really mean is:
Gen Z watched old generation
- skip meals,
- miss birthdays,
- work weekends,
- and burn out
only to be told
โbudgets are tightโ
and โbe grateful you have a job.โ
So Gen Z chose differently.
- They donโt romanticize overwork.
- They donโt confuse suffering with ambition.
- They donโt trade health for praise.
They still work hard.
They just refuse to work for nothing.
Itโs not laziness.
Itโs pattern recognition.
And honestly,
after everything old generation went throughโฆ
Can you really blame them?

What happened today at Texas A&M was unacceptable. No young man should face that level of aggression outside of the field of play. Especially, not from someone there to protect. This officer had the audacity to do this in front of millions. What does he do when no oneโs watching? It didnโt escalate today, but that doesnโt mean it never has or will.
