Thank you to all who are involved in protecting prosecuting catching tracking and jailing poachers who poach our RHINO
THIS is not an easy task and requires planning training and a huge amount of searching the KRUGER PARK and its conservation area is greater than the size of WALES ..with incredible difficult terrain ..
These are extremely brave people who do this and they all are dependent on team work with eack other and the SA police
They have to rely on their colleagues who must maintain secrecy and security for eack other .. and from time to time they do loose a member who becomes tempted or it family threstend if they don’t suppply information on where the rhino are or which areas they are operating in
It requires huge military like skills and one of the most dangerous situations is cross fire where bullets come from all directions if situation like this developes..
If you come across members of the poaching unit please thank them show your appreciation etc
But do not question them where the are going ..it’s a war zone out their for them ..whilst they try to make every attempt to keep the peace in the park so that we visitors to the park can enjoy the ambience of the park whilst they operate on the dark side where poachers see an opportunity to make money .
And the strange thing about this is that the poachers earn peanuts for their work and the king pins the dealers in RHINO HORN trading make a fortune ..
That surprises me that a poacher earnings are pertinence and show us how many people are poor starving and out of work ..but we also know that their families etc are threatened by these king pins who demand that the go and get RHINO HORN trading
SOME of these poachers have sophisticated weapons vehicles radios GPS and backup support to kill a rhino and getaway as quickly as possible to the border areas of MOZAMBIQUE ZIMBABWE etc

SE #Asia's relentless demand for #rhino horn is pushing #rhinos to #extinction. The harsh & grim reality is #rhinos simply cannot reproduce swiftly enough to counterbalance the decline they face due to #rhino#poaching. We can't let ignorance & greed doom #rhinos to #extinction!
Fantastic news! @SAPoliceService in SA arrest 2 suspected serial #rhino#poachers, linked 2 a series of attacks on rhinos at Madikwe Game reserve in the North West nearly 2 years ago. Well done guys now for some successful convictions! #NoJailBail!

Trophy hunting will never be conservation. True conservation is about protecting and preserving wildlife, not killing it for sport or personal trophies. No species should have to suffer in the name of so-called 'conservation.'

My face when I look up after my coworker asks me how my diet is going 😂🙊🫢🦏
Did you know rhinos consume between 30-50kg of food per day. That's roughly equivalent to 500 chocolate bars, 405 carrots, 1425 popcorn boxes, or 42 sacks of potatoes!
