@Action4SA respects the rights of municipal workers and believes that labour agreements must be implemented lawfully, transparently and in a financially responsible manner.
At the same time, Johannesburg is facing a serious infrastructure crisis. Residents across the city are experiencing failing electricity infrastructure, water outages, sewer spillages, deteriorating roads and declining municipal services.
Against this backdrop, we believe the Adjustment Budget does not clearly demonstrate how the City intends to balance its labour obligations with the urgent need to stabilise municipal finances and accelerate infrastructure maintenance and service delivery.
For that reason, @Action4SA chose to abstain from the vot
