@hubermanlab I had a Glasgow Coma Scale of 3. It is the most severe rating of a brain injury. Only 5% survive that. I might be the only one who has healed and quickly returned to independent living. Some Neuro Research should study me and why I healed so uncommonly well. Knowledge is power.

I was the #victim of a #hitandrun. The SUV that hit me, nearly killed me, and caused a Severe #TBI with a #GlasgowComaScale of 3 and #hydrocephalus was found by an angel a few days later. It just hit my body and my little road bike! It looks like a tree fell on it! 🤯

@noneck @JessieSingerNYC No. I shall! Thank you for the recommendation! I do certainly prefer calling this 'an incident'. Not my fault! And certainly not 'an accident'. I was cycling straight in the right lane of a four-lane road and was hit from behind. No one was turning. And then .... he drove away.

@noneck Thank you, Noel! My survival and subsequent healing are quite miraculous! I'm hopeful I can get into public speaking to make people more aware of TBIs, and promote public policy for bike safety, and auto driver responsibilities.

@rabble I also feel that way about smoking cigarettes. I'm currently in Italy where smoking in restaurants and public spaces is common. Frequently the person next to you lights one up. Aren't they aware some folks might have asthma and non-smokers despise the smell? Plus bad for health.
