Great summary of all action @thecsp@PhysioFirstC working just as hard. This level of planning is strategic and targeted even by volunteers. Criticism is easy. Let’s support each other.#collaboration
@gerardgreenephy@adewagstaff@PhysioFirstC@FSB_Voice What would you have Physio First do?
As a business owner, you make a business decision about what you're prepared to work for - that's market economics. Why not differentiate yourself by quality, that you can back up with evidence?
@adewagstaff@gerardgreenephy@PhysioFirstC@FSB_Voice It's a catch 22 isn't it - you can't get a case example for how effective it is (do you mean clinically or for your business?) until you've got the data and enough of it to be valid.... Then, from a business point of view you can market your practice with it....
@adewagstaff@gerardgreenephy@PhysioFirstC@FSB_Voice You're right - we need to let the public know what it is so they understand it signals measurable quality... We have to start somewhere!!! All of us who are contributing need to be explaining it to our patients and colleagues, which is why I'm answering this!
@adewagstaff@gerardgreenephy@PhysioFirstC@FSB_Voice It's got over 60,000 patient data sets now in the data for impact collection project and Physio First can start to look at it and unstack the data to give us evidence to influence what we do. It means that I, as a single handed practitioner can be part of a national project.
@adewagstaff@gerardgreenephy@PhysioFirstC@FSB_Voice It benefits msk physio in private practice because it gives a standardised audit tool that's got research behind it and is externally validated by the university of Brighton....
@gerardgreenephy@adewagstaff@PhysioFirstC@FSB_Voice I think there are about 130 QAPs so far, not sure how many are working in area of pelvic health? Are you collecting data for the Data for Impact scheme?
@adewagstaff@PhysioFirstC@FSB_Voice@gerardgreenephy You're right, it is promoting the quality "kite mark" scheme specifically... Being able to collect our outcome data and be benchmarked against a national standard to achieve an evidenced quality mark has to be positive doesn't it?
@adewagstaff@PhysioFirstC@FSB_Voice No, you don't need to be a Quality Assured Practitioner to be a member of Physio First. But you can't be a QAP without being a member! Collect patient outcome data and PROMs in the Data for Impact scheme and you can be assessed for QAP status, more info: https://t.co/VvwvSoliwA

Could your walking speed be linked to physical wellbeing 💭
Have a look at this interesting study by the NIH which suggest that a simple test of how fast a person walks could be a helpful indicator of how both the body and brain are aging - https://t.co/IAAzck0k1T

Despite having no symptoms!
Greater years of running experience was associated with tendon pathology. https://t.co/s8gWBFVvC3
