The foundation of the last metals supercycle (2002 - 2011) was the rapid industrialisation of China… new cities, skyscrapers, railways, cars, power grids and the mass creation of a new middle class. Back then, it was a DEMAND story.
The supercycle we are in today, is bigger, more global… and what makes it different is that it’s a SUPPLY story.
The economies that will be left behind are those that are unable to secure their own critical minerals supply chain.
The statement made in this article by Canada’s Natural Resources Minister, Tim Hodgson, comes after @BloombergNEF’s forecast that copper needs $332 BILLION of new mine investment to avoid a deficit starting in 2028… otherwise we face a shortfall of about 20 million tonnes (44% of demand) by 2050.
We are in discussions with other authoritative sources that tell us that the @Bloomberg estimate is significantly too conservative. We will bring attention to these studies when they are published.
New mines take decades and decades to find, permit, finance AND THEN build. One major obstacle for projects, especially those located in western economies, is permitting. Unfortunately, there is no quick fix... and permitting should not be rushed. At least, the growing panic for metals is forcing into public debate the topic of where ON EARTH these metals will come from.
As they say at the Colorado School of Mines: Earth first... we will mine the other planets later.

There are some really good looking bargain prices now starting to appear in the junior mining space. Towels getting thrown in, serious discounts showing. We've gone thru the "this is cheap" and "this is very cheap" phases, now into the "wow i never thought" level. Love the hate.
📍 682 km². Multiple Cu-Ni-PGE occurrences. Plenty left to explore.
Blue Lake hosts known mineralization within a much larger land package, including significant strike length of favourable geology that has seen limited historical exploration.

A new Cu-Ni-PGE exploration story is taking shape in Quebec.
Cupani Metals is advancing the 100%-owned Blue Lake Project, where 682 km² of favourable geology combines known mineralization, decades of historical exploration and significant room for new discovery.

Everyone wants the junior that goes 10x.
Nobody wants to own it through the 12 months it goes nowhere.
First rule of this game is simple: don't get knocked out.
The 10x goes to the people who stay solvent and disciplined long enough to be there when it happens.
Most of the exploreco copper names on my radar have been weak these last few days. No real reason why they should go oversold with copper prices where they are. Taken as a group and ignoring any specific stories I like/dislike, the sub-sector suddenly looks very cheap.
What’s next for Cupani Metals at Blue Lake? 🎙️
CEO Brian Bosse recently joined the Mining Stock Daily podcast to discuss the latest Cu-Ni-PGE drill results, the geological model guiding exploration, and how we're positioning Blue Lake for its next phase in 2027.

@RonStoeferle@RonStoeferle thanks for this 🧵. Been a while since we spoke. As it happens I am now largest shareholder and CEO of great exploration in copper — yes I bought more today. No I have not shown it to you yet. DM me.
CEO Brian Bosse discusses the latest drill results from the Blue Lake Project in Quebec, where summer drilling returned 2.90 metres grading 1.71% CuEq.

.@MetalsCupani reported initial assays from its summer drill program at the 100%-owned Blue Lake Cu-Ni-PGE project in Québec. Vertical hole CUP26-10 returned 1.71% CuEq over 2.90m from a massive sulfide horizon, hit in three of six summer holes drilled more than 1km southeast of the historical Blue Lake 2 lens. We view this as an encouraging sign that the targeting model is working as drilling extends further southeast. Learn more here: https://t.co/Sgc60fZnVE $CUPA
Drilling is underway across a 16 km corridor, with magnetic signatures pointing to copper, nickel, platinum and palladium. The scale of opportunity is significant.
