Very grateful to have helped make this comic happen - such an important (and timely!) message. Please read why police shouldn't be on OD calls, and share with your networks.
This week our new collaborator, Ian, interviews @dammjohnny on comic book art, police propaganda and militarism in popular culture, détournement and history

This project was an absolute joy to work on and we're thrilled to be able to share it! As always, if you are interested in hiring us to adapt your research into comics, please get in touch!
@and0bot When we're making comics we're @PetroglyphComi1 now! This is just the publisher. But yeah, if you want to read comics adaptations of scholarship, that's the place to do it! World leaders in our field etc etc
@BlackRadAnarcho I don't think this directly answers your questions but it sort of pulls on the underlying theoretical problems from the perspective of the EZLN https://t.co/vdBPxRyUFZ
@Joyhenderson78 All talk of general strike has ended and EAs still don't have a deal. It's not just that the labour movement isn't interested in using these tools for broader social causes - it won't even use them in bargaining for its members!
@Joyhenderson78 We need to notice the general strike came out when Ford took away the right of unions to seek redress through OLRB and courts. They're not wielding that power on behalf of the striking EAs, but to protect the current model of labor peace.
@AndreRealOuell @Jessa_McLean Because an NDP government would never break its promises or impose austerity on workers, right? It'd never destroy the traditional territories of indigenous peoples without their consent, or cheerlead the tar sands, right?
So while we usually work with scholars, sometimes we're lucky enough to work with their unions. This short comic for @cupe_3906 is aimed at encouraging members to get more involved in their union. Check it out! (Thread)
So last fall, I collected submissions for a zine about how workers feel about having to work for a living. This is the belated result. Great pieces from warehouse workers, childcare workers, the non-profit industrial complex, even a stay at home dad!
