So it turns out those old fashioned often religious based morals we had as a load bearing beam for society around men and women and sex might have been there for a reason.
If we're serious about preventing Cornell 7 situations, we would have honest conversations about not only consent, but intoxication. Just because sober you would never consent to certain things doesn't mean drunk/high you wouldn't. And waking up thinking, "NO WAY did I say yes to that, so I must have been coerced!" might make sense to sober you, but it doesn't mean drunk/high you didn't consent at the time. And there's no way of anyone knowing for sure if everyone else was drunk and high, too.
So maybe just don't get drunk. Don't get high. Don't party intoxicated with intoxicated strangers. Then you're much less likely to say "yes" to things you shouldn't, or God forbid, find yourself helpless if someone doesn't take "no" for an answer.
But no one wants to have that conversation because it's "judgy," and it's just easier to HashtagBelieveWomen and immediately assume male guilt instead.
Women's groups fought to dismantle men's clubs, fraternities, the Boy Scouts, the YMCA. Now they're surprised men are isolated — and that it's women who pay for it.
@ClaytonBurnsPhD@rastokke People don’t understand that math in and of itself is a language. You have to memorize the vocabulary and grammar. There’s a certain level of fluency you need to be able to progress. There’s really no way around that.
...It was a breathtaking lack of judgment and restraint from the defense counsel. In my view, it would warrant a communication from the court. In a nation of rage addicts, Reddington just supplied a villain for cathartic fury.
The mRNAs impact sperm count and menstrual cycles and thus short-term fertility. But huge national-level databases show no impact on miscarriages or newborn health. I looked hard. It’s not there.
The whole idea of a research university is to take some of our great minds, give them secure jobs and academic freedom - and a lot of time to make discoveries and contributions. So all the scam research and plagiarism is really galling - because they shouldn't need to do that.
@retarded__woman Depending on what you want to do, there are really nice, open-source tutorials and “cookbooks” that have examples and practice items. If you want to run an interactive dashboard, I would definitely recommend Plotly Studio.
Anyone paying attention has seen this coming a mile away.
State actors have been probing and pulling off proof of concept type attacks for a while now. No doubt China and Russia have very successful exploits queued up for if they become necessary.
Of course, we would have similar exploits for use against our enemies as well.
Public infrastructure has always been a target for kinetic warfare, its only logical they would be a target for electronic warfare.
