@nseducation Again, please clarify whether the funding for programs is consistent with 2018-2019 OR if there are cuts in 2019-2020? You haven’t answered the question. #nsed#nspoli

I have confirmation from multiple schools that both program funding AND staffing allocations supporting O2 cohort classes have been cut. These changes DO impact students & dramatically alter program delivery, NOT for the better. #nsed#nspoli /1
A friendly correction for @zachchurchill on @thesmacleodshow: addressing NS's rates of child poverty (among the worst in Canada) would have far greater impact on student achievement than governance reforms in #nsed, something @NSLiberal refuses to address. #nspoli (more)
Minister Churchill says his government has hired 1,000 new teachers, but according to data available on the NS government Web site, only 130 teachers have been added since 2013. @thesmacleodshow

Hey @stephenMcNeil. I’m a proud @NSTUteachersUnion and you did not speak with me about how you destroyed teaching and education in Nova Scotia. I’d be happy to tell you how I feel about #Bill72 if you’d like to meet with me. #nspoli
Fact check for @nseducation & @zachchurchill :

The McNeil Liberals eliminated school boards to streamline education/better support inclusion. Instead they are blaming Regional Education Centres for the cuts to guidance based on 1:500 instead of the 1:400 from the report. Who is responsible? #nspoli https://t.co/wHlYZAQCL8
Direct classroom instruction in art will no longer be offered to any students in HRM. Yes, only some had access previously. Now that we’re ‘standardizing’ everything it’s at the lowest common denominator, rather than the other way around. #nspoli https://t.co/WTZSQooHR3

The Nova Scotia Provincial Health authority will close more intensive Withdrawal management units this April continuing its destruction of Addiction services programs. #stopthestigma#shameonrandy
