Tragically, one of our amazing paramedics was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday while off duty in Canyon County. Idaho State Police is investigating the crash.

Deputy Tobin Bolter's memorial service will be held Tues. April 30th, 3pm at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho. The indoor service is reserved for Deputy Bolter’s family, friends and law enforcement. The indoor service will be closed to the general public and media.

There is an incident near the Boise airport with first responders on scene. This is causing traffic issues on I-84 near the airport. Please use caution and stay alert while driving through the area.
Emergency responders are on scene of a reported building collapse at W. Rickenbacker St. and Luke Street. There are reports of multiple injuries. The Boise Airport is not impacted. More information will be available here as it is confirmed.

Our crews are working around the clock to clear snow and ice. Sometimes however, roads need to be closed. We do this when the conditions are no longer safe for our own crews to be out. Make sure you check the road conditions in your area on Idaho 511 before heading out today.
Drivers should expect snowy and slippery roads for the rest of the day, as the temp isn't expected to get more than a degree or two over freezing. So please give yourself some extra time to get where you are going — and pack some extra patience if possible.
Just an FYI for drivers getting ready to go out this morning. Most of Ada County is covered in dense fog, from Boise west to Ontario, with visibility of a 1/4 mile or less. So driving will likely be slow going until late this morning.
The first significant snowfall of the season (1.5 inches measured at the Boise Airport) resulted in a slippery commute in Ada County this morning. As of 11 a.m., dispatch received reports of 59 traffic crashes and 22 slide-offs since midnight. More snow is possible this afternoon
