@SpineNeuro No apologies from me for publishing a study with a primary outcome that is negative. There is still much to learn here and this is a population that we can do more to help.
On #WorldHumanitarianDay, we honor Dr. Nick Hopkins, a visionary in stroke and vascular care.
As the father of endovascular neurosurgery, his legacy lives on through innovation, mentorship, and a lifelong devotion to saving lives. 💙
We are heartbroken by the profound and unimaginable loss of Michael W. Groff, MD, FAANS, former Chair of the NREF, whose passing, along with that of several beloved members of his family—including his daughter, Karenna Groff, a 2024 NREF Medical Student Summer Research Fellowship Grant awardee—has left an indelible void in our community. Dr. Groff was a remarkable leader, colleague and friend whose dedication to advancing neurosurgical education and research will continue to inspire generations to come. Karenna’s talent and commitment to the field of neurosurgery were evident to all who knew her. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the Groff family and all those affected by this heartbreaking tragedy. Their memory will forever remain in our hearts.
Thank you to our fantastic UTHSC residents and fellows. Today we hosted @DrBrowd as the Matt Wood Lecturer- amazing to see an old friend and co-resident who has achieved so much. Can’t wait to see what these residents will do! @MemphisNSGY @SemmesMurphey
Congrats to the @NREFORG team for a successful hockey fundraiser! Proceeds will benefit the Van Wagenen Fellowship, providing neurosurgical residents the opportunity to study abroad.
Special thanks to @DrAndrewGrande & @AANSNeuro's Ella Schneider for making this happen!
