- Zelensky heeft bij decreet een legeronderdeel de eretitel "Helden van de OUN/UPA" gegeven.

- Zelensky heeft Andriy Melnyk, leider van OUN/UPA, in Luxemburg laten opgraven en vervolgens met militaire eer herbegraven in het Pantheon te Kiev.

- OUN was vanaf 1929 de Organisatie van Oekraïense Nationalisten met als doel een onafhankelijke en etnisch zuivere Oekraïense staat. OUN bestaat nog steeds.

- UPA was de militaire tak, die naast selectief verzet tegen Duitse en Sovjet troepen vooral etnische zuiveringen en gruwelijke massamoorden op Joden en de Poolse bevolking in Volynia en Galicia uitvoerde, waarbij meer dan honderdduizend mannen, vrouwen, kinderen en baby's op afgrijselijke wijze werden gedood. - De Poolse president Nawrocki heeft de hoogste Poolse onderscheiding van Zelenski teruggevorderd. De Orde van de Witte Adelaar was eerder door de vorige Poolse president Duda aan Zelensky uitgereikt.

- Ook Kyrylo Budanov, de stafchef van Zelensky en Viktor Yushchenko, de ex-president van Oekraïne hebben de aan hen uitgereikte onderscheidingen teruggestuurd naar Polen.

- Het is schandalig en schaamteloos dat de @EU_Commission en leiders van EU-lidstaten niet de zijde van Polen hebben gekozen en Zelensky, van een niet-EU-lidstaat, niet publiekelijk hebben teruggefloten van zijn openlijke steun voor de nazistische genocidale misdaden van de OUN/UPA van Bandera en Melnyk.
