If I win please pick another who may need it more. But love lunch with you and your technical team!
My mum is a customer in the UK, I am in Spain. Just bought a house in Greece, Octopus coming here anytime soon? Great Solar & Wind resources here!
@aakashgupta Oh and saying geostationary satellites had loads of spare capacity is just bollocks. They were wildly expensive for a relatively slow connection, often limited by bandwidth availability. Starlink is a fraction of the price and it's been like going from dialup to fibre broadband.
@RSymonsLTD Same here. BWW just charged me €280 for the Bi-annual service on an i3. Brake fluid change is just bullshit after 2 years. Also €80 of that is a "Vehicle Check" of which they won't give me an info. Not going back there in 2 years for sure!
@Jenny_1884 If you have 3 more years to wait you must be 64, so you clearly know the pension age is not 60. The female pension age became 65 in 2018. You have had plenty of time to firstly learn the facts and secondly to plan for it.
@plumbers_urban@TheBritLad Agreed. In Spain I pay €40/£34 a month just in standing charges. And that's for just a 35amp supply. If I wanted 100amp it would be tripple!! Managed to run an all electric house and EV charger off it through!.
@Hayleymsimmons @KirstieMAllsopp This is the big point. Yes direct tax take would be lower if we reduced SD but as you say moving drives so much else in the economy.
@KirstieMAllsopp Could not agree more. For sure it should be abolished under 500k and reduced above. Apparently very low home ownership in under 35's. But if you buy a house 400k, then need to move for work in a couple of years time huge waste of money on double stamp duty so they just rent.
@RupertLowe10 Many of your supporters have moved to countries like Spain and Dubai. Apparently they are "expats" not immigrants. What % speak Spanish or Arabic to a competent level?
Is this not wrong and should they not be forced to move back to the UK?
@ApoStructura@JamesMelville It's not quite so black and white. Read up on Agrivoltaics, it can have some great benefits. But yes car parks and commercial buildings are a no brainer.
@robalogue@implausibleblog It's been almost 10 years, we have now seen the outcome of an experiment. Do you disagree that it is not the sunlit uplands that were promised?
So it seems sensible to see if the majority still agree Brexit is the right way to go.
@robalogue@implausibleblog But now we have seen the outcome is it not reasonable to have another.
Just because the country voted Labour at the last GE by your logic they are our government for eternity now.
