@JacquelynBertm1 Yes, maybe "inevitable" is the right word for it. In someways it seems like a huge leap but in another way it is the logical extension and integration of so many existing technologies. Companies are already vying to be leaders in this space so maybe just a matter of time #EDU6323

Kevin Kelly certainly thinks big! It's strange for me to think about what comes "after" the internet. The "Mesh" that he describes seems like a gargantuan undertaking. Then again, technology seems to grow exponentially, so maybe he's right! #EDU6323

It may be hard for some to accept non-teacher-centric learning. We are generally far more comfortable (or proud of)challenging authority in the U.S #EDU6323

By engaging the whole class, people stay motivated by getting feedback and getting a chance to demonstrate their new skills. It's not just the top of the class that answers all the questions and leads the way. Adding anonymity encourages shyer students #EDU6323

Then again, my maturity at that stage wasn't the best. Another frustration was that the clickers we purchased were never used again after that course! #EDU6323

Digital polling is also helpful in assessing students more accurately. Often when I try to poll a class verbally, one or two students tend to answer 90% of the questions. Digital polling can ensure everyone is answering to get a better info on how the class is doing #EDU6323

Digital polling can have a very positive effect on student motivation. On example would be the the use of polling to create a "game show" type of activity. I've seen people really perk up and become much more engaged as soon as you add an element of competition #EDU6323
