We’ve had an increase in the number of authors having problems with publishing with Springer Nature. One example: It seems they require payments for colour charges even where the author is happy for the print version to be black and white. Do colour pixels cost more money? (1/4)

nature has actually contacted me for comment about accusations that Sci-Hub is a threat, here is my full response / it is clear that academic publishers care about their money, not about security of other people
Aorta comes from the Greek word ‘aeiro’ which means ‘to lift, raise, be hung up’, from the ancient notion that the heart is suspended from the aorta. It shares etymology with ‘aorter’, the name of the shoulder strap used by Greek hoplites to hang their swords.
