Awful to see the impact in Australia of antisemitic terrorism at what should be a time of joy. I know there are many in our community who have been worried by what has happened and the police and CST have been working hard to provide reassurance.
Chanukah should be a time of celebration and joy.
The news that the Bondi beach attack was an antisemitic terrorist attack against Jewish families at a Chanukah event is sickening.
My thoughts are with the victims and their families.
The United Kingdom will always stand with Australia and the Jewish community. We are actively working with the @CST_UK on the policing of Chanukah events.
We end the year with our annual Christmas bash at the #Amberleyyouthhub. Thank you to @AdamHug all children, parents & staff for a great evening @CityWestminster@YoungWestminstr. We will be closed now for staff to have a good rest & recharge! See you all in 2026
A busy Sunday: Canvassing followed by the full age range of Westminster from the SMF older people’s Tea Dance to the the WBA kids fun day event on Churchill Gardens
Out on #SmallBusinessSaturday seeing the positive impact that @wminsterlabour’s investment in shop front improvements and visual merchandising is having to help businesses on Harrow Road https://t.co/xkRPR2SSIN
Important from Sadiq about the racism he experienced growing up. The shocking thing is that the social taboos against this kind of racism are being eroded again, including by this platform.
Labour has delivered the long campaigned for improvements to the Westbourne canalside with an exciting transformation project at Westbourne Green and Grand Junction and a new mural under the Westway https://t.co/snzjsbLCIS
Vote Tory in Westminster; get Reform. The second Westminster Conservative defection in recent months to Reform. Given how right wing some of the current Tory candidates are who else might make the jump particularly after the election in May?
Cllr Alan Mendoza of Henry Jackson Society fame has today defected to Reform UK to advise the party on foreign policy and geopolitics.
Farage: “I look forward to working closely with him as we continue to shape our policy platform in the months and years ahead.”
Really disappointing that Westminster Conservatives refused to support this motion tonight Standing united against the rise of the far right and in support of inclusive communities’ https://t.co/nHPWz7sev6
@OfChurchill@harrietgrant Currently a consultation about a council scheme to build social housing etc alongside accessible outdoor space. Also delivering new community space at Churchill Gardens primary and the Pimlico Community hub at Rampayne Street. (Not that we’d sell but A2 isn’t building stuff here)
@Lisa_SEND@DisRightsUK@Jojo77blue@CommonsHCLG@CityWestminster@LondonAssembly Please send me the case. There many more people on the waiting list with high assessed mobility needs than there are ground floor properties which is why more accessible properties are being built but can see what the specific situation is.
@Lisa_SEND@DisRightsUK@Jojo77blue@CommonsHCLG@CityWestminster@LondonAssembly Hi Liza please send me the details of the person in question and look into it. We're doing a lot to make sure the new council homes we are building are better adapted with more disabled access but demand massively outstrips supply (& because all are flats ground floor is limited)
The appalling incident on a train near Huntingdon is deeply concerning.
My thoughts are with all those affected, and my thanks go to the emergency services for their response.
Anyone in the area should follow the advice of the police.
Out on Woodfield Road this afternoon with @220_d_92_20 and the team picking up issues with delayed communal redecorations by Notting Hill Genesis and ASB concerns
Jenrick, Philp and Lam- fuelling the fires of racism over recent week. This increasingly extreme Tory party wants to deport our friends and neighbours and now seems fine with calls for fewer black people on TV… a far cry from being a one nation centre-right party of government.
Watch Chris Philp(Tory MP) refuse to say if Sarah Pochin's comments were racist.
Chris Philp: "i'm not going to call her that word... I'm not calling her racist..."

Our well developed plans give the GLA the platform to move ahead and deliver a scheme for the East (now funded by them) that meets the needs of business and visitors, whilst supporting bus users and providing reassurance to residents & businesses in Fitzrovia and Soho.
Important to see the GLA's ongoing commitment to deliver transformation on the east side of Oxford Street inline with the approach developed by Westminster Council, business & residents to deliver great public realm improvement whilst retaining bus travel https://t.co/pRJ6pGlY2Y
