@github I do actually keep certain backups on rewritable dvds, I don't do it much anymore but I have physical copies of my favourite linux distros, programs, game projects, etc.
@CodeRed_dev I just finished my game engine and I have plenty of Get and Set functions like this so other classes can share data + encapsulation, also it's a great way to have Engine code accessible in my Game code without unnecessary bulk, keeping a clean workflow for the games.
@CodeRed_dev I decided to rewrite my engine from scratch to be handle memory better and trimmed down, among other things, took me 2 weeks and I'm "done" / ready to make the game.
Full 3d renderer with model importing with textures, writing my own vehicle physics soon
@craorii I used Unity and Unreal since 2012, since the last drama I felt worried about companies owning my tools, I started my own engine in February this year, I'm almost ready to start making games.
I took designs from both engines I liked and made it easier (for me) to make games :)
@mikemovies The Musketeer (2001)
It was one of my favorites as a kid and teenager. I only found out recently that it was reviewed terribly and most people hate it
@BrainsToBinary@CodeRed_dev Yeah for sure! I think some devs really show that they don't care about achievements by just putting "Finish mission 1, finish mission 2" etc, rather than filling out the list with things you have to go out of your way to do, needs a bit more creativity
